The Meaning of LIV
It all starts with a good night sleep. Sounds simple. It should be but unfortunately the majority of us lack restorative sleep leading to a weakened immune system, weight gain, memory loss, poor healing and reduced cognition. The LIV Institute was born out of the dire need to raise awareness of the importance of restorative sleep; and its pivotal role in enabling our bodies to heal and live longer healthier lives. To achieve this, patients and their health care team must learn to work together. The LIV Institute’s integrative educational courses for healthcare professionals, business enterprises, and the general public aim to identify the root cause of illness and teach students how to practice collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. Following the “Five Pillar Approach” to restoring your health; the goal of the LIV Institute is to maximize your genetics and allow you to live the best version of yourself.
-
Longer Health Span
Our goal is to increase health span; the length of time that a person is living pain free with full function; not just alive. We must look at the whole person - your posture, how you breathe, how you sleep, what you put into your body, how you manage stress, the quality of daily exercise, and your environment. These are all interconnected and so should you and your health care team.
-
Integrated Approach
Our mission is to bring together and educate healthcare professionals across disciplines and foster a collaborative integration of preventive medicine and restorative interventions to maximize patients full healing potential. This integrative spirit includes empowering patients with the knowledge to help themselves, a critical piece to success.
